What are you most excited about for the coming year at your new church?
I’m really excited to get to know the people of the Warrenton UMC Community and to share in the ministry that is already taking place while evaluating what new effective ministry might be possible.

What are you most passionate about in ministry?
I am passionate about making sure that everybody knows that they are loved and valued.

What was your very first job?
I worked at a gun range.

After college I lived in NYC for several years.

Eric Kleppinger

Sydenstricker UMC

First appointment; bivocational (continuing in Federal service) and studying at Asbury

Family:
Husband of one (Mary), father of two (David and Sarah), three if you count the dog (Fergie). Mary works for an association in Alexandria and is a new Stephen Minister. David is a senior at Radford University looking to get into archaeology after graduation next year, and Sarah just graduated high school and wants to work in technical theatre (props, sets, lights, sound). Fergie sounds ferocious but really is a 50-pound chicken who just wants to be loved.

What are you most excited about for the coming year at your new church?
Making an effective transition: from being one of its members to being one of its clergy.

What are you most passionate about in ministry?
Matthew 28:19!

What was your very first job?
Part-time? That would be selling ice cream at the little shop at the mall in high school. Full-time? Overnight radio DJ on a top-40 station back home in Vermont.

Fun fact about you:
I was part of the FBI’s national command center team on the afternoon of 9/11.

Randall “Randy” Orndorff

Wife- Lee Anne Orndorff-33 years, two Grown Sons- Josh married to Michelle- UM Elder serving as Chaplain at RMA in Front Royal- Jordan lives in Culpeper area- teaching, coaching construction, Two grandsons- Julian and Orion

What are you most excited about for the coming year at your new church?
Getting more involved in our community through more community engagement and sharing God’s unconditional love.

What are you most passionate about in ministry?
Leadership, Discipleship, Mission and

What was your very first job?
Working on the farm in the apple, peach orchards and livestock, grain and hay fields

Fun fact about you:
My wife and I hiked Mt Whitney a year ago, the tallest point in the lower US. 8 days and 72 miles.

Robert “Rob” Robertson

Wife-Carolyn; Two adult children: son-Michael (25 yo – Atlanta) and daughter-Katherine (23 yo – Charlottesville); one dog – a sweet black lab named Rubee

What are you most excited about for the coming year at your new church?
Working with gifted laity and clergy at St. Stephen’s Church to grow God’s kingdom there, the Alexandra District and beyond

What are you most passionate about in ministry?
Sharing God’s love for all people and helping people to discover and respond to God’s call on their lives!

What was your very first job?
Dishwasher at one of the hotels on the oceanfront in Virginia Beach. The manager of the hotel told me that he was going to teach me the hotel business from the ground up. I remembering wondering was it really going to take ALL summer to learn to load dishes in the washer, put in the soap, hit start, and unload the dishes when they had finished washing!

College football and basketball fan. Follower of the Hoos!

Family:
Wife is Emilee we got married last July so almost a year. No pets…yet but love dogs!

What are you most excited about for the coming year at your new church?
I am excited to come into a thriving ministry where I can build off of the phenomenal work the Lord has started and help lead the people to grow more in faith. It also seems like a great place to try and fail and try again which seems very supportive and makes me excited for ministry.

What are you most passionate about in ministry?
Diversity through unity in christ and seeing new believers come to faith through discipleship.

What was your very first job?
Custodian at local art gallery/ ferry boat crewman

Fun fact about you:
I used to go mudding in semi-legal mud boggs around Hampton roads. And go stuck quite often, few of them left my wheels suspended in air.
