District Inititative
The District Initiative Core Team has been working feverishly to respond to the Bishop’s request for all Districts to begin the work of planning to combine their two districts into one new district.

Who We Are
We are the Arlington and Alexandria Districts of the United Methodist Church.
Often referred to as the Bi-District, the Arlington and Alexandria Districts work closely together and share office space and some staff. We are located at 3600 Chain Bridge Road, Fairfax, VA 22030. Arlington and Alexandria are two of the 16 districts in the Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.

Meet Your New DS
Alexandria District Laity & Clergy are invited to OnboardingThe Rev. Dr. Sarah Calvert is transitioning into her role serving as the District Superintendent for both Alexandria and Arlington. As part of that transition, we are offering an opportunity for Alexandria District clergy and laity to get to know Sarah through a process called ‘onboarding’. This process gives participants a chance to offer advice and ask questions for DS Calvert and will be facilitated by the Rev. Kathleen Overby Webster.
