Preschool Director: Wesley United Methodist Church is seeking a director for its preschool in Vienna. The director provides leadership of this outreach ministry of 130 students by managing its daily operations, serving as a liaison between the church and school, selecting and supervising faculty (of approximately 20), maintaining policies and procedures, and offering vision and creativity to the program. The director is responsible for enrollment, curriculum, licensing compliance, and financial oversight. The Preschool Director is employed on an eleven-month contract (August through June) for 30 hours a week. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Early Childhood Education, and experience in a management position, requiring problem analysis, organizational skills, effective communication skills, crisis management, dedication, and diplomacy. P/T Financial Administrator: St. Johns United Methodist Church (UMC) is seeking qualified applicants to serve as a Financial Administrator. Vacancy is to be filled NLT 1 April 2020. The accounts for and manages Church funds, maintaining appropriate and accurate financial records. Prepares and submits financial reports to St. John’s Pastor; Administrative Council; Finance Committee; Board of Trustees and Center for Early Childhood Education (CECE), the church preschool. As a part-time employee, compensation is paid semi-monthly for 40 hours of labor at an hourly rate of $18-$20, depending on level of expereince.
Required Qualifications: Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office and Quickbooks, for all payroll functions: issues checks, and prepares Federal and State documents for 30 employees. Able to apply Servant Keeper software for required church financial operations. Perform accurate accounting practice for all financial transactions within acceptable Federal, Virginia, and UMC standards.
Experience with managing and supporting reports preparation required for planning/ tracking an annual budget. Maintains all financial records and schedules annual audit.
