District Administrative Assistant

Administrative Assistant: The Bi-District (Alexandria and Arlington Districts) of the United Methodist Church, is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant. This position provides administrative and clerical services in support of the work of the District and serves as a primary interface between the District office, the pastors and members of the local churches. The position also involves simple accounts payable work. Persons applying should have excellent communication skills, good attention to detail and be comfortable working as part of a team. LOCAL CHURCH OPPORTUNITIES:

Accompanist: Grace United Methodist Church, Manassas, Virginia is seeking a part-time accompanist for three of its choirs: a youth choir (6th-12th grade singers), a women’s ensemble, and the Chancel Choir. Organist: Mount Olivet UMC, Arlington, is seeking a quarter-time Organist to prepare and perform organ and piano music for the traditional Sunday worship services. Assistant Teacher: Mount Olivet UMC, Arlington, is seeking an Assistant Teacher. A key member of a classroom team, the Assistant Teacher helps to execute the day-to-day classroom operations, striving for a safe and fun learning experience daily, following the Lead Teacher’s direction and lesson plans. This position is part-time, exempt, and salaried with paid leave. Specific hours and leave are defined in the individual teacher’s term-based contract. Mount Olivet Preschool provides children with play-based educational experiences consistent with the best practices of early childhood education.
